CONTROLLER
Job Duties:
Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions and policies
Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements
Coordinating activities of external auditors
Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
Managing the budget and forecast processes including costs and profits
Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement, and implementing new processes
Evaluating accounting procedures and internal control systems
Evaluating the effectiveness of accounting software and supporting database, as needed
Developing and monitoring business performance metrics
Overseeing regulatory reporting, frequently including tax planning and compliance
Hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
Skills Requirements:
· A bachelor's degree in accounting and business administration is required. CPA or CMA designation is a plus
· Requires 10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including managerial roles.
· 10 years of experience utilizing knowledge of accounting principles,
· 5 years of experience applying knowledge of and regulatory compliance.
· 5 years in a leadership role demonstrating organizational, and multitasking skills.
· 5 years of experience in an office management role with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
· 3 years experience with Yardi Voyager software
